Waning Gibbius: Ace of Pentacles, King of Wands, and the Eight of Wands.

This is a difficult reading, so let’s break it down. First, these cards were pulled on the moon’s waning gibbous, which acts as our frame. In the lunar cycle, the light of the moon wanes—signifying a time of reflection and slowing down.

Secondly, I pulled all Cat Rocketship Cards. In my deck, this is rarer than pulling 3 of the same suit. I am sure this means something, but I am not sure what.

Finally, you have the cards. The Ace of Pentalcles is about beginnings. There are lots of pecuniary interpretations—pentacles are coins, after all—but for this spread, the best interpretation is Jessica Dore's: The Ace of Pentacles has to do with belonging, security, and control. This is a card to remind us that we are in control of what we do, even if our thoughts are different. From that secure place, its time to begin.

Then you have the King of Canes. The card points to control of your passion. How do you want to focus (for the time being) on your passion? How can you prevent yourself from being scattered?

The Eight of Canes, but reversed. All that energy is being thrown up into the air. Where will it come down? You probably can’t catch them all. Which of your energies do you choose to focus on?

The waning moon is a time for reflection. You’ve found a secure place, and now it's time to consider your choices. Where do you want to focus your energies? What impact do you want to make on your plans? Time to choose.
